Create permanent, reusable URLs for your Permanent Links with optional custom slugs.

Overview

Permanent Links are URLs for Permanent Links that remain active indefinitely. Unlike one-time requests, these links can be used multiple times by different customers.

Standard format:

https://visio.now/{unique-code}

With custom subdomain (Professional+):

https://yourcompany.visio.now/{custom-slug}

Professional Plan Required

Custom slugs (like car-return) require a Professional plan or higher AND an active custom subdomain.

Starter Plan

Your Permanent Link URL uses an auto-generated code:

Professional+ Plan

With an active subdomain, you can customize the slug:

https://yourcompany.visio.now/car-return

Setting Up Custom Slugs

Prerequisites

1. Professional or Enterprise plan
2. Active custom subdomain (configured in Settings > Domain)

Creating a Custom Slug

1. Navigate to Photo Requests > Permanent Links
2. Click Create Permanent Link
3. Enter your Custom Slug (e.g., car-photos)
4. Complete other settings
5. Click Create

Slug Requirements

Requirement	Details
Characters	Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens
Length	3-30 characters
Uniqueness	Must be unique in your workspace
Format	No spaces or special characters

Valid Examples

• car-return
• delivery2024
• site-inspection
• photos-q1

Invalid Examples

• Car Return (spaces, uppercase)
• ab (too short)
• my_photos (underscores not allowed)
• photos@work (special characters)

Editing Slugs

You can change the slug at any time:

1. Go to the Permanent Link detail page
2. Click Edit
3. Modify the Custom Slug
4. Click Save

Automatic Redirects

When you change a slug, Visiono automatically creates a redirect from the old URL to the new one. Old links will continue to work.
